Apollos University Earns DETC Accreditation

California-based for-profit Apollos University is now accredited by the Distance Education Training Council, according to a news release issued Feb. 20. The accreditation was granted Jan. 20.

According to the school’s website, Apollos was founded as a not-for-profit school in 2004 and enrolled its first student as a for-profit in 2005. It first applied for accreditation from the DETC in 2010. The DETC is an approved accrediting organization by the U.S. Department of Education’s Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs.

Apollos currently offers three degree programs, all online: a doctorate of business administration, a master’s of business administration, and a master’s of science in organizational management. Tuition for master’s degrees costs $134 per credit; for doctoral degrees tuition is $150 per credit.
