For-profit Penn Foster, Inc., an online learning institution, announced Wednesday that its CEO, Frank F. Britt, was selected to serve on Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett’s Higher Education Advisory Panel.
The panel’s 30 members will make recommendations on how to make higher education more accessible and affordable to Pennsylvania’s students and taxpayers.
The group will focus on developing a long-term strategy for higher education that inculcates economic changes. The panel will review current policies, laws, and regulations that impact the state’s higher education.
The governor’s advisory panel draws its memebrs from among university presidents, education professionals, and business leaders.
The panel is expected to submit its findings to Governor Corbett by November 15, 2012.
