Ohio-based Franklin University announced today that it is launching an online Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Information degree program.
The 124-semester-hour program is open to credentialed healthcare practitioners, managers, or administrators. Students without an associate degree in healthcare may apply for the program after 24 hours of credit in a related discipline. The credits may be transferred.
Core courses include accounting, virtual communication strategies, healthcare informatics, and information systems architecture and technology. Other courses include healthcare management, healthcare financial management, quality management, information systems security, and healthcare organizations statistics and research. Completing the degree can help students prepare for Registered Health Information Administrator certification.
Franklin University is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
