Educational technology giant Pearson announced today that it will launch a new online learning tool for middle school and high school students, according to T.H.E. Journal.
GradPoint offers students more than 150 core, elective, honors, and Advanced Placement courses online. The curriculum can be used for fully online or hybrid courses, for first-time credit or for credit recovery.
The technology allows for not only flexibility in course completion, but also monitoring of student progress through a lesson or course; differentiated learning techniques to accommodate all students; automatic grading; a text-to-speech feature that allows for text passages to be read aloud; real-time curriculum updates; and data management and reporting for teachers and administrators.
