The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) is launching four online bacehlor’s degrees and three master’s degrees. The university will begin offering the new courses, the first online degree programs from UTPB, in the fall 2012.
The new undergraduate degree programs will include a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Communication, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. The graduate degrees will include a Master of Arts in Bilingual/English as a Second Language, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Special Education.
The new courses will be powered by Dallas based ed-tech firm Academic Partnerships which will provide market research and analysis, curriculum conversion, faculty support services, marketing and information technology. The curriculum for the new courses is being developed around the Quality Matters Rubric—a faculty-driven, research-based, peer-review process designed to insure quality in online and blended courses.
