As the literature market continues to migrate to e-reader platforms, CK-12 is trying to push textbooks in the same direction. The site offers what it calls Flexbooks, which are online textbooks students and teachers can use for free.

The company has gathered various math and science books including student editions, teacher editions, workbooks, labs and demonstration books. For students preparing for college, the website also offers SAT Prep courses, which includes the answer key for students to check their answers while studying.

The site’s newest addition is its Study Guides Library which offers study guides covering a wide variety of topics. The idea behind the company is to become not only a major resource for student and teacher online textbooks, but also to assist students financially by not charging for any of the material.

CK-12 offers weekly webinars to cover customizations and features about multimedia and sharing Flexbooks. The site can be downloaded as an app to the iPad, iPhone, Android, and Kindle so students and teachers alike can view their material at any time.

Parents and teachers can request and be sent the Flexbook version of the Assessment and Solution Key Teacher’s Edition that is being used in their particular system.
