Eastern University Launches Online Youth Ministry Degree

Eastern University is launching a new youth ministry degree online. The Christian college will begin offering classes in the new program during the fall 2012 semester.

The new degree program is designed to assist working professionals develop the skills necessary to become effective youth ministry educators. The majority of the classes needed to earn the degree —which range from practical administrative techniques to an introduction to adolescent psychology—can be completed online. However, four of the 21 courses necessary will require two separate two-week residencies at Eastern University’s Philadelphia campus.

Students who transfer at least 60 core curriculum credit hours to Eastern University will typically be able to complete the program in approximately two and one-half years. In addition to the youth ministry degree, Eastern University offers four completely online degrees and 13 blended degrees.
