Philadelphia University is launching PhilaU Online to offer undergraduate and graduate degrees online. When it launches for the fall 2012 semester PhilaU Online will initially feature four bachelor’s degrees and three master’s degrees.

The university will be offering four Bachelor of Science degrees—health services management, human resources management, law enforcement leadership, and organizational leadership—and three Master of Science degrees—disaster medicine management, midwifery completion, and sustainable design.

Courses will be offered in six eight-week terms annually and will feature discussion and project-based collaborative learning opportunities. The Master of Science in Sustainable Design provides students with a studio-based online experience.

While all the degrees being offered are primarily online, the graduate programs also have required on-campus residencies, in the case of the disaster medicine program the residency is one week long.
