Southern New Hampshire Launches Accelerated Online Accounting Program

Southern New Hampshire UniversityPrivate, not-for-profit Southern New Hampshire University announced it just launched a new accelerated online bachelor’s and master’s in accounting degree program.

The program is designed for students interested in earning both their bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accounting as quickly as possible, and can be completed in as few as five years. The accelerated program consists of 120 undergraduate and 30 graduate credit hours, and allows for students to work in accounting as they finish their last credits.

At the undergraduate level, students will take business law, finance, marketing, business systems, human relations, management, and several accounting courses. Elective courses include forensic accounting, auditing, and government and nonprofit accounting.

Graduate coursework covers topics including international accounting, situational ethics in accounting, federal taxation of individuals and corporations, and multinational corporate management.

Southern New Hampshire also offers online certificates and associate degrees in accounting, as well as online bachelor’s degrees in forensic accounting and fraud examination, accounting finance, accounting information systems, business studies in accounting, and finance economics.

Online undergraduate tuition for 2012-2013 is $320 per credit hour; graduate tuition is $627 per credit hour. At the current rates, the accelerated program could be completed for $57,210, plus books and fees.

Southern New Hampshire is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Colleges and Schools. Its business school is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
