Using the Twitter hashtag #AskFAFSA, students and parents can ask any questions they have about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid on Aug. 23 just as school begins for the fall semester.
Whether new students want to check deadlines or relay budget concerns, returning students want to know how to apply for work study programs, or graduating students want to discuss repayment or potential graduate loans, Department of Education officials will be on-hand to help students and parents.
Participants are encouraged to submit their questions early via FAFSA’s Facebook page or Twitter profile using the #AskFAFSA hashtag. On Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. EST, participants can have their questions answered and see what others are asking by following the hashtag or @FAFSA on Twitter, or via the Twitter app on FAFSA’s facebook page.
There will also be a summary of the event, as well as the text of the full question and answer session, on the education department’s blog after the live chat.
