EdTechTalk Keeping Teaching, Learning Collaborative

by

August 21, 2012

EdTechTalk is a collaborative open webcasting community that is open for educators and learners. The site has 15 different shows, or topical chatrooms, available for users who wish to know more about new education technology, how to teach more effectively, or simply find out what other teachers are doing and using.

The webcasting site is open to anyone, but is directed mainly to educators at every level looking to pick the brain of other educators or to have their brain picked.

As August, dubbed as Connected Educators Month by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, nears its end, the site has been working to increase the participation rate among teachers. The site has been promoting its Teachers Teaching Teachers webcast by inviting teachers from across the nation to discuss education topics and teaching tips.

Users can engage in the conversation by leaving audio, text, or video messages.

Each talk is conducted through Google Hangouts and is archived.
