Liberty University Online, the world’s largest Christian university, offers a wide variety of online certificates and associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. While its physical campus in Lynchburg, Va., serves nearly 13,000 students, its online campus just celebrated the enrollment of its 80,000th student, making it the nation’s largest private, not-for-profit institution.

Being a Christian university, Liberty aims to offer every course and degree program through the lens of a Christian worldview. Many degree programs include ethics courses, and all degree programs require studies in Biblical literature and Christian thought. Liberty also offers degree programs in religion at every degree level.

Liberty’s Wilmington School of the Bible program requires 20 courses covering several Biblical topics including apologetics, church history, chronological surveys of the old and new testaments, pastoral theology, and in-depth looks at Hebrews, Acts, Revelation, and Genesis.

In addition to its religious offerings, Liberty offers degree programs in fields such as aeronautics, accounting, business, communications, criminal justice, education, marriage and family counseling, nursing, paralegal studies, psychology, and public policy.

LU Online also offers a variety of student services, such as a course dedicated to teaching students how to learn online, an online writing center and library, study aids, and tools to help online students connect with each other.

Liberty is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
