Drexel University Online, the online arm of Philadelphia-based Drexel University, has been offering degrees since 1996—making it one of the first schools to venture out into the online education realm.

Drexel offers several online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and certificates in a variety of fields, such as business, communications, criminal justice, information systems, nursing, education, and psychology.

Some of its more unique online undergraduate programs include a bachelor’s degree in property management, two general studies bachelor’s programs, two information technology degree completion programs, and a bachelor’s degree in professional studies that emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, communication, business, and social science.

Drexel offers 46 different master’s degrees, including 11 different Master of Business Administration programs. MBA specializations include healthcare management, creativity and innovation, and sport management. Other master’s programs include two Master of Science programs in clinical research, a master’s in higher education, and a nurse practitioner program in women’s health.

The subject areas offered through Drexel’s online certificate programs run the gamut. Largely offered at the graduate level, certificates can be earned in gaming and casino operations, real estate, autism spectrum disorders, engineering management, healthcare informatics, medical billing and coding, e-learning leadership, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health.

Tuition at the private, not-for-profit institution varies by program. Drexel is regionally accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
