Neil Fraistat is a professor of English at the University of Maryland and the director of the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities. He has published widely on the subjects of romanticism, textual studies, and digital humanities. He is also a founder and general editor of the Romantic Circles website and is co-chair of centerNet, an international network of digital humanities centers. His scholarly research into romanticism and textual studies has been recognized with numerous awards.
