Employers predict a 13% increase in the hiring of college graduates, according to a new survey from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). The report finds that employers predict they will be targeting graduates with bachelor’s degrees in business, engineering, and computer-related degrees.
Of the 244 survey participants, 37.6% indicated that they had firm plans for spring recruiting a 3.2% increase from the firms that planned to recruit in spring 2012. The companies that said they have tentative plans decreased 4.5% from spring 2012′s 31.8% to 27.3%.
The other three categories remained essentially flat with companies who planned on doing all their recruiting in the fall, are unsure about their recruiting, or are not hiring registering a change of less than a percentage point.
