The quantitative reasoning section of the Graduate Record Examination, the standardized exam for entrance to many graduate programs, is one of three portions of the test. The test also consists of verbal reasoning and analytical writing sections. The quantitative reasoning portion consists of four types of questions: quantitative comparisons, single-answer multiple choice, multiple-answer multiple choice, and numeric entry. Students have 35 minutes to answer each of the two 20-question quantitative reasoning sections.
