Learn27 is an education technology tool enabling businesses to create virtual classrooms for their employees. The tool is an extension of Social27, a social software startup company, which creates event software, eLearning, virtual job fairs, and online community products.

Businesses using Learn27, which is still in its beta phase, can develop an online academy, manage courses and instructor information, stream content, and enable employees to create an online community for networking. Some of the features of Learn27 include polls and surveys, ticket management, and a mood-o-meter, which allows users to receive live feedback of an audience’s mood during a keynote or a session.

The idea behind Social27′s newest venture is to help businesses train more employees and lower costs. The edtech also rewards employees through a gamification method of offering rewards and points.

There are already several large companies using Learn27 including Microsoft, Dell, SAP, and the University of Washington. The new branch of the company has already raised $750,000 in funding.

The Learn27 app can be accessed through Apple and Android devices.

The company, Social27, was formed in 2007 by former Microsoft employees, Ike Singh Kehal and Bally Singh.
