New York City-based LIM College is now offering an online Master of Professional Studies in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management. LIM College is solely focused on teaching students business and fashion.

Beginning in fall 2013, students can enroll in the 30-credit master’s program designed for students with degrees in fields other than fashion. The 10 course program is designed to be completed in as little as one year if pursued full-time.

Students will take courses in advanced fashion merchandising; sales and consumer behavior; fashion retail management; fashion retail branding and promotion; retail visual merchandising strategies; retail merchandise management; technology in fashion merchandising and management; and product development in fashion.

In their internship course, students will assess various fashion jobs available, work within the corporate office of a major retailer, and participate in professional development sessions. In their capstone class, students will choose major projects that involve product development, global fashion marketing, apparel production, fashion strategies, and sales and consumer behavior.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and meet other requirements to be considered for admission.

Lim College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
