David A. Thomas is the dean of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and the school’s William R. Berkley Chair. Prior to his appointment at Georgetown, Thomas was the H. Naylor Fitzhugh professor of business administration at Harvard Business School and directed the school’s organizational behavior unit. He also was Harvard Business School’s senior associate dean and director of faculty recruitment and taught a required first-year MBA course on leadership and organizational behavior. He has coauthored two books and more than 60 case studies and articles and recently received the Administrative Science Quarterly Scholarly Contribution Award for the article that had the most impact in the field in the last five years.
