The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) is the flagship institution of the University of North Carolina System. The Tar Heels are known for their school colors of light blue and white, their rich athletic history, and a legendary rivalry with Duke University, located just 12 miles down the road.
But UNC is also known for its academics, high graduation rates, and low tuition rates, having been named the country’s best public value college by financial magazine Kiplinger 12 years in a row. UNC also topped the Princeton Review’s best value list in 2012.
UNC offers a variety of online degree programs to students at the certificate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Its online program offerings are in the health, business, and communications fields.
